Game System:Rules-light freeform using few mechanics, primarily skill cards.
Information for Players:A light-hearted and melodramatic game of adventure in the grim darkness of the far future. There are light mechanics and heavy weapons. There will be much noble intrigue, backbiting, and possible violence.

No previous knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 universe is required.

There is a moderate amount of reading - fairly detailed character briefs (about 4-6 pages), plus game rules (one page) and a background on the universe (3-5 pages).

No specific costume will be required, but the GMs gleefully encourage players to play up the costume extremes of the 40k setting. We expect to give players casting hints as far in advance of the game as possible, to make costume easier.

A maximum of two inhabited planets will be obliterated during the course of this game.

This is a freeform based in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k setting. Absolutely no knowledge of the setting is needed.

The world of Archeron is doomed.

Dissent led to heresy, heresy led to riots, riots led to warfare, and now the heretic troops of Chaos control the ruined spires of once-proud cities.

The heretics cannot be allowed to use Archeron's immense factories to spread their corruption. The Inquisition has given the order. The Imperial Guard cruiser Acerbus Terminus has arrived to bombard the planet into rubble.

Once last shuttle, carrying the planet's remaining administrators and troops, has left the surface. These few survivors will travel on the Acerbus Terminus to safety elsewhere in the Imperium.

But the journey back to the nearest Imperial dock is neither short nor safe. The depths of space hold many dangers for the unwary. And all who were on the planet are suspect. For with Archeron lost to heresy, all that remains is to find someone to blame...

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

Flight of the Acerbus Terminus is a light-hearted game of intrigue and adventure in a dark future. Absolutely no knowledge of the Warhammer 40k universe is required.

There will be a short and simple casting questionnaire. Casting hints will be provided well in advance for costume purposes.

Mechanics are minimal. Combat resolution will use the time-honoured "point plastic weapons and yell a lot" method.

Any rumours that Matt's Patron Chaos God is Tzeentch are entirely without merit.
