How to Get There

The Charity Poker Tournament is being held at:

Unfortunately, Royal Mail's online postcode finder was a bit coy about specific postcodes in Billington, but you can view a map of it here. Leighton Buzzard is situated just to the west of the M1, between junctions 12 and 13, and is about 15 miles south of Milton Keynes. Billington village is just south of Leighton Buzzard, on the A4146 Hemel Hempstead Road. Full road directions can be found below, from:

By Train

Leighton Buzzard can be reached via London Midland Trains, on the line that runs from Euston through Milton Keynes, Northampton and Birmingham. The station is about 4 miles from Billington, and taxis are available on the station taxi rank (sometimes), or can be booked from one of the firms listed below. The cost of a taxi between the Train Station and Billington Village Hall should be between £5.00 and £6.00.

Directions By Road - From the M1

  1. Leave the M1 at Junction 12, and turn towards Toddington (Left if you are travelling northwards, or right if you are travelling southwards).
  2. Drive into Toddington, until you pass a church on your left hand side.
  3. Turn Right, just after the church, onto Leighton Road (which runs alongside the village green).
  4. Follow the road out of Toddington, through the village of Tebworth, until you reach a T-Junction, which is the A5.
  5. Turn Left onto the A5.
  6. At the next roundabout, turn Right, onto the A505.
  7. At the first roundabout, which has a petrol station on the corner, turn Left, onto the A4146
  8. Billington is about half a mile from the roundabout. The Village Hall is on the left, just off the main road, and there should be sign posts, both to the Village Hall and the Poker Tournament.

Directions By Road - From Milton Keynes

  1. Go South from Milton Keynes on the A5.
  2. Go straight over the Flying Fox Roundabout, and straight through Hockliffe.
  3. At the next roundabout after Hockliffe, turn Right, onto the A505.
  4. At the first roundabout, which has a petrol station on the corner, turn Left, onto the A4146
  5. Billington is about half a mile from the roundabout. The Village Hall is on the left, just off the main road, and there should be sign posts, both to the Village Hall and the Poker Tournament.

OR...

  1. Go south on the new bypass (the A4146), and keep going straight-on on the A4146/A505 until you get to a roundabout with a petrol station on the left.
  2. Turn Right here, towards Hemel Hempstead, but still on the the A4146.
  3. Billington is about half a mile from the roundabout. The Village Hall is on the left, just off the main road, and there should be sign posts, both to the Village Hall and the Poker Tournament.

Directions By Road - From Aylesbury

  1. Come out of Aylesbury through Bierton on the A418.
  2. Follow the A418, for about 6 miles, and go straight through Wing village.
  3. At the first roundabout after Wing, turn Right onto the A505.
  4. Go straight on at the next two roundabouts.
  5. The next roundabout you will come to has a petrol station on the left. Turn Right here, onto the A4146.
  6. Billington is about half a mile from the roundabout. The Village Hall is on the left, just off the main road, and there should be sign posts, both to the Village Hall and the Poker Tournament.

Directions By Road - From Hemel Hempstead

  1. Either go north on the M1, and follow the M1 directions above, or...
  2. Head north from Hemel Hempstead on the A4146 Leighton Buzzard road.
  3. Go straight through the villages of Great Gaddesden, Dagnall, Edlesborough (watch out for the speed camera) and Northall.
  4. When you get to Billington, go over the hill, and the Village Hall is on the right, just off the main road, and there should be sign posts, both to the Village Hall and the Poker Tournament.
